The only Constant

So it’s been a while since I shared a blog with you all and to be honest I really missed it. It’s amazing how much satisfaction I get from sharing my thoughts on this journey with as many of you as stop by to read.

These days I have marveled a lot at the paradoxes of life and how constant change is. The more we seek to understand the trends in our life in order to better prepare for them, the more changing they seem. I don’t know about you but I hate it when I feel helpless against the circumstances of my own life and find my back against the wall such that I am unable to fully abreast myself for all that lies wait for me in the future no matter how hard I try.

One minute you are happy and feel afloat on top of the world itself and the very next minute you feel like you are stuck under the crumbled four walls of your life.
One minute you feel so loved and cared for by those who matter to you and the next minute you feel like no one cares what happens to you.
One minute you are well supplied and have more than enough to spare and the very next minute you seem unable to afford the basics of life.
One minute you feel so refreshed and so pumped up and ready to take on the whole world by yourself and the very next minute you barely have enough strength to open your eyes.
One minute you are at the giving end of counsel and help in whatever form and the very next minute you are at the receiving end of the help feeling very vulnerable and desperate.
One minute you are all motivated and unstoppable and the very next minute you are so low in the valley of the shadow of death that all you wanna do is shut the whole world out and be by yourself.

We could go on and on but I guess all I trying to say here is that life is full of ups and downs but who says we must be up when up and down when down? This is when you look around and find that the picture you have in your head for what you up is or should look like is actually another person’s down. So what do you do?

Keep you focus fixed on the Lord Jesus and you will find the strength to be up even in the downs of life. He is the only person who remains the same and that makes Him dependable and reliable. I don’t wanna put my hope and trust in anything or anyone that is as changing as the times and seasons of life so I choose Jesus who according to the chorus of one of the songs in my new album (coming soon) is always the same.

Always the same You are, always unshakable
Always there to catch me when I fall
Always the same, just and true, always unmovable
Always the same through all life’s changing scenes

That is the only constant and the only constant is the only one worthy of our trust.

YYYYAAAAYYYY!!!
