Have you been seeking God for a breakthrough in any area of you life and now find it harder to resist the temptation to complain and give up?
Do you feel like He does not care about you enough to come through for you?
Has life so battered you that the hurt child inside you can’t grief?
Are you unable to stop the countless questions that are flooding your mind right now?
Do you feel like there is something you should be doing to make things better in your life?
Does it seem like God has taken you into the middle of the ocean and abandoned you there to fend for yourself?
Do you feel like you can no longer hold on till the day dawns?
Does it seem like there is no end to the long night in which you have lived for as long as you can remember?
I could go on and on with the endless list of questions that speak to your present situation but I’d much rather redirect your focus to God. Whether it feels like if or not, He is there with you and will definitely see you through. He did not promise that we will always feel good about life and our circumstances but He said ‘the righteous shall live by faith’
Remember what faith is right? The substance of things hoped for. Notice that it is what you hope for that gives substance to your faith.
If you feel like He is not there I know why. You have been looking in all the wrong places. Isaiah 45:19 has been a great encouragement to me today so permit me share it with you.
It says, ‘I have not said….. Seek me in vain’ Truth remains that all who seek Him diligently will always find Him. So if you feel like you can’t find Him, you are looking in the wrong places.
Have you been looking for Him in this month’s rent, today’s meal, that much needed car, or some other desperate need in your life? You will not find Him there.
Really wanna find Him? Look in His word, prayer and the still small voice of the Holy Spirit who now lives in your heart. That is where you will find Him. That is where He has been all the while when you were looking in all the other places.
Remember He did not say……. ‘SEEK ME IN VAIN’
Therefore beloved stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself FULLY to the work of the Lord, because you KNOW that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Notice the emphasis on ‘FULLY’ and ‘KNOW’.
