Character or the lack of it is the number one reason why Christian leaders in my circles do not end well. No wonder scripture warns that the people who think they are standing should take heed lest they fall – 1 Cor. 10:12
My interpretation? “The moment you think you have overcome it is the very moment when you are the most vulnerable to it”
“It” could be different things for different people but the mother of all “its” is PRIDE. The antidote? DEEP AND CONSISTENT UNION WITH GOD.
